The Oromia Investment and Industry Bureau (OIIB) is the principal regional government institution responsible for promoting, regulating, and facilitating investment and industrial development across the Oromia National Regional State of Ethiopia. Guided by the regional government’s vision for inclusive and sustainable economic transformation, the Bureau serves as a one-stop center for investors and industrial stakeholders, ensuring efficient service delivery, transparent governance, and strong public-private collaboration.

Core Mandates and Functions
The Oromia Investment and Industry Bureau (OIIB) is mandated to lead, coordinate, and regulate investment and industrial development in the Oromia National Regional State. Its main powers and functions include the following:
- Formulates investment policies and strategies that enhance investment expansion in the region, presents them to the regional government for approval, and implements them upon endorsement.
- Collects and manages investment-related data and regional resource information; prepares and disseminates the regional investment map and ensures its implementation.

- Enhancing the regional investment climate through legal, institutional, and digital reforms.
- Expanding industrial zones and clusters to promote value-added manufacturing and job creation.
- Empowering domestic investors and strengthening linkages between industry and agriculture.
- Promoting export-oriented industries and facilitating access to finance and technology.
- Implementing digital transformation initiatives through the Investment Services Information Management System (ISIMS) to deliver efficient, paperless, and transparent services.
Leadership and Structure
The Bureau is led by a Head of Bureau under the Oromia Regional Government, supported by four(4) Deputy Heads, Directors, and technical experts across specialized directorates, including:
